Cyclosporine is a drug that must be put in the eye twice a day for a period of 12 hours or as directed by your doctor.
Before dripping this medicine, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the bottle or your eyes. Before being dripped, make sure the drops have been shaken. These drops are milky white in color.
Tilt your head back while looking up, then pull the lower lids of your eyes so they form pockets. Put 1 drop of the medicine directly over the bag while looking down then close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Don’t blink or rub your eyes.
Discard bottle and remaining liquid after use. Do not save an opened bottle for future use.
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before dropping this medicine and don’t use them again until 15 after the drug is put in.
If you wish to instill another eye medication, please wait for 15 minutes then after this medication is instilled.
How to store this drug?
Cyclosporine is a drug that is best stored at room temperature, away from direct light and damp places. Don’t keep it in the bathroom. Don’t freeze it. What should I do if I miss a dose?
If you forget a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, when it is nearing the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and return to the usual dosing schedule. Don’t double the dose.
