Tools needed
In addition to the ingredients above, you will also need the following tools:
- 10 liter plastic glass or bottle with stopper cap
- Plastic jerry can size 50 liter (preferably made of polypropylene or polyethylene plastic) with translucent color to see the liquid level
- Tank stainless steel sizes 80-100 liters
- Wood, plastic, or metal mixer
- Measuring tube
- Measuring cups, plastic or metal funnels
- Some plastic bottles with stopper caps (leak-proof) sizes 100 ml, or
- Several 500 ml glass or plastic bottles with stopper caps (leak-proof)
- Alcoholmeter, with a temperature scale on the bottom and the concentration (percentage) of ethanol at the top
How to make a hand sanitizer
Here are the steps you need to follow in creating hand sanitizer:
- Prepare the ingredients according to the formula you choose.
- Put the alcohol in the jerry can first.
- Add hydrogen peroxide to the jerry can.
- Add the glycerol to the jerry can.
- Add 1 liter of distilled water.
- Stir until well blended.
- Divide the contents of the jerry can into 100 or 500 ml bottles. Keep it for 72 hours before use. Keep away from sun exposure.
- Hand sanitizer is ready to go wherever you and your family travel.
It is important that you remember that hand sanitizer only acts as an alternative cleaner if you have trouble finding soap and water.
